Another Cobra Available on the Market

This time, in the UK.

Just ten 'continuations' and totally authentic and perfect reproductions of the definitive iconic 1965 '427 S/C', accurate down to the very last detail - were fully completed by AC Cars Ltd. at the Brooklands Factory in Surrey, England from 1990 to 2003; only 5 now remain in the UK.
This is COB 5002, originally commissioned in 1998 by Lord Taylor, which starred in 'Jeremy Clarkson's Motoring Years' (BBC TV) - the video featuring Clarkson eulogizing and driving this Cobra goes with the car, as does a copy of the programme of the very prestigious 2007 Salon Prive Concours held at the Hurlingham Club, London where this car was an entrant.
It has also been owned by Liam Howlett (The Prodigy).

All Carbon Fiber Terlingua bodied Shelby Cobra -  CSX4000 Series

Believe to be the only such Terlingua in existence, a full carbon fiber bodied '65 Cobra is being offered by PI Motorsports in Southern California for just under $140k.  Although this car may be considered a replica, it is 100% authorized and authenticated by Shelby.

The engine is built by the most successful name in Ford racing, Jack Roush.
The 451 cubic inch Shelby Aluminum block engine produces 600 HP (horsepower) and 625 ft. lbs. (foot pounds of torque).  The power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKO 600 five speed transmission, the descendant of the Ford 4-speed ‘top loader’ released in 1964.

It's not everyday you get the chance to sit behind the wheel of a legend, let alone own it.  For more details of vehicle and its sale, click on any of the images.  If you're currently in Southern California maybe you can swing by and they'll let you take it for a test drive.  If you're not in Southern California, maybe its time to take a little road trip.

New Cobra 289 Fine Art Print

Cobra 289 Fine Art Print
Printed from an oil painting by Wallace Wyss, the author of SHELBY The Man The Cars The Legend.  It depicts a Cobra racer in a works 289 probably at Sebring and we would guess in1964. It is now becoming recognized that the small block Cobras won most of the Cobra victories in the original era, not the big block Cobras which did not enjoy Ford motor Company support. This is the first of a series Wyss calls the "Sienna Tone" pictures because they look like burnt sienna tone photographs. It measures 12" x 18" including borders and is signed by the artist with the words "artist proof" on one side. It is shipped rolled in a tube.
